아쿠링은 여러 아쿠루가 모여 이루어져 있다. 각 개체가 가끔 사방으로 흩어져 떠다녀도 완전히 떨어지는 법은 없으며, 언제나 가장 큰 개체를 따라 호흡을 맞춰 움직인다.
